Researching Seafaring Ancestors and Maritime Sources in the SoG Library

Searching for seafaring ancestors?

The Society of Genealogists' Library contains much information about maritime history in its collections for the Royal and Merchant Navies and mariners, as well as local and ancillary resources and very useful journals and periodicals. Hence, using the library catalogue effectively is vital when searching for these resources. This talk will give an introduction and overview of what we hold in the library, within our collections, and online, with hints on how to find more about your seafaring ancestors.
